# Wallet and top-ups

> Your prepaid balance, topping it up yourself, and reading the transaction ledger.

Your wallet is a **prepaid balance** in your account currency. Seats and your panel fee are paid from it, and it is the only thing you ever pay us.

The page header states the rule plainly: *"Seats are debited from this balance at your discounted rate."*

## Your currency

Your wallet currency is fixed when your application is approved, based on the country you applied from — **India → INR**, everywhere else → **USD**.

The balance card also tells you what your customers see, for example *"Denominated in USD · your customers see prices in AED"* when you have set a display currency. Those are two independent things: see [Pricing manager](/panel/pricing).

## Topping up

Top-ups are **self-serve** — you do not need to ask us. Enter an amount, or use one of the quick buttons, and check out.

|                    | INR wallets                          | USD wallets                  |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------ | ---------------------------- |
| **Minimum top-up** | ₹5,000                               | \$70.00                      |
| **Quick amounts**  | ₹5,000 · ₹10,000 · ₹25,000 · ₹50,000 | \$70 · \$150 · \$300 · \$600 |

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enter an amount">
    Type it, or press a quick-amount button. Below the minimum, the top-up is refused.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Press Top up">
    Checkout opens in the same window.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pay">
    The balance appears in your ledger as soon as the payment settles.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The top-up panel states: *"Minimum \$70.00. The pre-tax amount is credited to your wallet."* Your wallet is credited the amount you entered; anything added at checkout is invoiced separately rather than turned into spendable balance.
</Note>

<Warning>
  Top-ups must use your **wallet currency**. A mismatch is rejected — you cannot top up a USD wallet in rupees.
</Warning>

## What comes out of it

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Seat debits" icon="ticket">
    Every seat you assign or extend, at your discounted rate. The description names the plan and the customer, so any charge traces back to who it served.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Panel fee" icon="receipt">
    Your monthly panel fee, debited automatically. It appears as its own ledger entry — *"Panel fee · monthly"*.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

Nothing else. No per-customer charge, and nothing is ever automatically charged to a card — the wallet is prepaid, so you top it up deliberately.

## The ledger

Every movement is recorded newest-first, with a running balance in the right-hand column. Entries are tagged with a coloured chip:

| Chip          | What it is                                                                                                          |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Top-up**    | Money you added. Shown in green with a `+`.                                                                         |
| **Seat** | A seat assignment or extension. The description names the plan and the customer — *"Seat · \<plan> · \<customer>"*. |
| **Panel fee** | Your monthly panel fee. |

The footer shows the total entry count and pages through them.

<Tip>
  The ledger is your bookkeeping record. Your seat debits over a month are your **cost of goods** for that month — compare against what you collected from customers to see your true margin.
</Tip>

## Running out mid-sale

If your balance will not cover a seat, the assignment is refused outright — nothing is charged, nothing is half-applied, and the customer's account is untouched. Top up and assign again.

The Overview dashboard estimates your runway (*"≈ 290 days at your current burn"*), which is the number worth glancing at before a batch of renewals.

<Card title="Keep a buffer" icon="shield-check">
  A balance covering several seats means you are never stuck mid-conversation with a customer who has just paid you. Running the wallet to zero is the most common self-inflicted outage.
