# Legal pages

> Publish Terms, Privacy, Refund, Fair Usage, DMCA and Contact pages on your panel.

All six come **already written**, filled in with your brand name and contact details. You review and publish; you do not write them from nothing.

## Read them before you publish

The panel carries this warning, and it is the important part of this page:

> **Read these before you publish.** We have written a starting point for you, filled in with your brand name and contact details. They are **not legal advice** — you publish them under your own business, so check they match how you actually work and the law where you operate.

  The refund template is a reasonable default, not a promise anyone made for you. If you intend something different — a shorter window, no refunds on used seats — say so plainly. Whatever you publish is what your customers will hold you to.

## The six pages

## Status dots

Each page in the list carries a coloured dot:

| Dot       | Meaning            |
| --------- | ------------------ |
| **Grey**  | Not published yet. |
| **Green** | Live.              |
| **Amber** | Saved but hidden.  |

<Tip>
  Amber is the one to watch — it means you wrote the page and then turned it off. It is saved, but no customer and no gateway reviewer can see it.

## Editing a page

    Toggle it on — the chip reads **Shown in footer** — and save. The button confirms **Saved**.

    Opens the real page on your panel.

<Note>
  Published pages are reachable **without signing in**, deliberately. A payment-gateway reviewer checking your terms is never logged in, and neither is a search engine.

## Restore starter text

**Restore starter text** puts the original template back for that page.

  This discards your edits to that page. There is no undo.

## Where they appear

Published pages are added to your footer automatically — both the signed-in footer and the public one a visitor sees. Only **published** pages are listed in your sitemap, so search engines are never pointed at a page you have not enabled.

  If you also added a **manual** footer link pointing at a different URL — say `Privacy Policy` → `https://yoursite.com/privacy` while publishing the built-in page at `/privacy` — **both** links appear and your footer shows the label twice. De-duplication matches on URL, not label. Point your manual link at the published path, or remove one.

## The templates never name us

They refer to *"our upstream provider"*, never to GFXToolz — they are agreements between **you and your customer**, and we are not a party to them.

<Tip>
  The **Contact** page is the one customers actually open, and the one a gateway reviewer looks for to confirm a real business is behind the site. Put a real address and a realistic response time on it, and keep both true.
